Hi, I’m Navneeta, and I am on a wellness journey following insulin hormone, imbalanced prediabetes, and inflammation within the gut. Using food as medicine to nourish my body and heal, I now lead an anti-inflammatory lifestyle and am an ancestral healing, low inflammation recipe developer and health advocate. I was on route to becoming prediabetic after my second pregnancy where I had gestational diabetes. My father had type 2 diabetes had an auto immune disease and passed away two months before I had my second child.
I learned that I was five times more likely, to develop diabetes, five years after gestational diabetes. I was insulin resistant and wanted to improve my insulin sensitivity so that I didn’t become type 2 diabetic. I also had IBS, a colonoscopy revealed ulcers in my small bowel, and ESR blood tests showed I had high levels of inflammation so I wanted to combine all of these (which can all be linked) and heal my gut health, keep my hormones balanced and improve my insulin resistance for longevity!!
I have lost a good few kilos in weight and every day I aim to take small steps to improve my gut health, incorporate greater microbiome diversity and lower inflammation by leading a nourishing diet to improve my metabolic flexibility and to feel the best I can!
