  1. In a large pot, combine the apple juice and cranberry juice.
  2. Add cinnamon sticks, orange slices, lemon slices, whole cloves, and star anise.
  3. Stir in the honey for sweetness.
  4. Optional: Add orange or lemon zest.
  5. Heat the mixture over medium heat until it simmers, then reduce heat and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  6. Strain out the spices and fruit slices.
  7. Ladle the non-alcoholic mulled wine into mugs and garnish with orange or lemon zest if desired.
  8. Serve warm, and enjoy!
