Product Spotlight: Lo Dough Bases
Following a low carb diet, bread is undoubtable one of the main things people find difficult to find replacements for.
Most gluten-free products contain higher levels of carbohydrates than their gluten containing versions. As well as having higher levels of 'less' favourable ingredients - such as various stabilisers, gums and other ingredients that can play havoc with your health - especially your gut health. Which makes Lo-Dough a unique find as not only is it low carb but it is also gluten-free. With one base contains only 2.2g of carbohydrates.
Now, I was impressed by these versatile Lo Dough bases. Within 1 pack you get 2 bases which contain 90% less carbs and fewer calories than traditional pizza bases, bread, cakes and pastry products. And.. they tasted good! They suited the dishes that I was looking to create, which included a breakfast banana cinnamon fresh toast and a roasted vegetable pesto pizza.
Full recipes to both can be found at the bottom of this blog.
